Unique 3D tomography apparatus was built and successfully tested in Research Centre Rez. The apparatus allows three-dimensional view into the interior of low-dimension radioactive samples with a diameter up to several tens of millimeters with a bette
As the final barrier of the multi-barrier deep geological repository (DGR) for radioactive waste (RAW) the rock environment fulfils the primary safety function by limiting the transport of radionuclides to the biosphere via the low hydraulic conducti

Migration of contaminants (radionuclides, heavy metals, nanoparticles) in crystalline rock environment is driven mainly by advective processes in fractures. The main goal of our project is to develop tools for evaluation of migration and retention of

Crystalline rocks are being considered as potential host rocks for the construction of deep geological repositories (DGR) for radioactive waste in a number of European countries including the Czech Republic. Advection is considered as a main process
