An approach is outline to constructing an optical potential that includes the effects of antisymmetry and target recoil. it is based on the retarded Green's function, which could make it a better starting point for applications to direct nuclear reac

The functional renormalization group for the effective action is used to construct an effective hydrodynamic description of weakly interacting Bose gases. We employ a scale-dependent parametrization of the boson fields developed previously to start t

We study weakly interacting Bose gases using the functional renormalization group with a hydrodynamic effective action. We use a scale-dependent parametrization of the boson fields that interpolates between a Cartesian representation at high momenta

In recent work, Hill and Paz apply the operator product expansion to forward doubly virtual Compton scattering. The resulting large-$Q^2$ form of the amplitude $W_1(0,Q^2)$ is compatible with the one we obtain by extrapolation of low-$Q^2$ results fr

The Wilsonian renormalisation group is applied to a system of two nonrelativistic particles interacting via short-range forces and coupled to an external EM field. By demanding that a fully off-shell one-particle-irreducible 5-point amplitude is inde

We construct a coordinate-space potential based on pionless effective field theory with a Gaussian regulator. Charge-symmetry breaking is included through the Coulomb potential and through two- and three-body contact interactions. Starting with the e

We outline a separable matrix ansatz for the potentials in effective field theories of nonrelativistic two-body systems with short-range interactions. We use this ansatz to construct new fixed points of the renormalisation-group equation for these po

We propose a new power counting for the effective field theory describing a near-threshold state with unstable constituents, such as the X(3872) meson. In this counting, the momenta of the heavy particles, the pion mass and the excitation energy of t
We use the functional renormalisation group to study the spectrum of three- and four-body states in bosonic systems around the unitary limit. Our effective action includes all energy-independent contact interactions in the four-atom sector and we int

We consider pairing phenomena in the framework of the exact renormalisation group. We introduce a boson field to describe pairing effects, and take a simple ansatz for the effective action. We derive a set of approximate flow equations for the effect
