The main objective of this study is to have the noise component of a speech signal eliminated and compressed by storing the locations and durations of silence regions. The separation between voiced, unvoiced, and silence regions is done by using the

In this paper, handwritten character recognition by using characters' writing movements is investigated. To obtain the information about writing movements a 3-axis accelerometer is used. Just like most of other sensors, 3-axis accelerometers give the

We propose a finite-element method (FEM) deformable breast model that does not require elastic breast data for nonrigid PET/MRI breast image registration. The model is applicable only if the stress conditions in the imaged breast are virtually the sa

Breast cancer is the most common leading cause of cancer death among women. Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Mammography, also known as Positron Emission Mammography (PEM), is a method for imaging primary breast cancer. Over the past few years, PEM

We have developed and tested a new simple computerized finite element method (FEM) approach to MR-to-PET nonrigid breast-image registration. The method requires five-nine fiducial skin markers (FSMs) visible in MRI and PET that need to be located in

This study was undertaken to correct for motion artifacts in dynamic breast F-18-FDG PET/CT images, to improve differential-image quality, and to increase accuracy of time-activity curves. Dynamic PET studies, with patients prone, and breast suspende
