Göreme Milli Parkı İç Anadolu Bölgesi’nde Nevşehir’in yaklaşık 12 km kuzeyinde bulunmaktadır. Milli park tür ve tür altı seviyelerinde bulunan toplam 675 taksonu barındırmaktadır. Toplam 80 takson (%11.8) Türkiye için endemiktir.
