We experimentally investigate inphase and antiphase dynamics of spatially-resolved light intensities in a chaotic broad-area semiconductor laser. We resolve partial intensities from the near-field pattern of the laser beam to observe phase dynamics.

We experimentally investigate transverse-mode resolved temporal dynamics of chaotic output in broad-area semiconductor lasers. We calculate incoherent sum of the RF spectra for the transverse modes and the existence of antiphase dynamics is found.
