This work presents an example of the design and manufacture capabilities that 3D printing can introduce in catalysis. A multi-purpose catalyst, with fast heat and mass transfer and low-pressure drop has been designed and manufactured by 3D printing.

An Al-5Mg alloy (AA5083) block, deposited over an AA6061 substrate by wire-arc additive manufacturing, was electrochemically tested along two different cross-sectional planes by cyclic polarization in 3.5 wt.% NaCl. The deposited layers and the inter

Oxide-containing films were made by reactively sputtering a high-entropy alloy target of CrFeCoNiCu. We report on a wide range of changes to the electrical properties made by different heat treatments in oxidizing and reducing atmospheres, respective

Although various alloy systems have been explored for additive manufacturing (AM) during the past decade, introducing a new alloy remains a challenging task. Most of the materials require iterative builds, for investigating numerous parameters and de

Abstract The CLOU performance of the CaTixMn0.9−xMg0.1O3 (CMTM) perovskite-type system was investigated, comparing materials produced at laboratory scale with those made at industrial ton scale. The CLOU and conversion performances were studied by

The present work proposes a new approach to the development of nanostructured ferromagnetic composites based on the progressive oxidation of high entropy alloys. Sequential ‘subtraction’ of the metals with lowest oxidation energy destabilizes the

The interlayer coupling between 2D materials is immensely important for both the fundamental understanding of these systems, and for the development of transfer techniques for the fabrication of van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures. A number of uncer

Cubic Scandia-stabilized zirconia (ScSZ) is an attractive electrolyte material for solid oxide cells due to its significant ionic conductivity, provided that the phase transition to its rhombohedral polymorph upon cooling is suppressed. The latter is
