The polka-dot wasp moth,Syntomedia epilais Wlk. (Lepidoptera, Arctiidae, Ctenuchinae), engages in extensive acoustic signaling during courtship. The signals, which are produced by both sexes, consist of sexually dimorphic trains of ultrasonic clicks.
