Abstract Methods to test the safety of wood material for hygienically sensitive places are indirect, destructive and limited to incomplete microbial recovery via swabbing, brushing and elution-based techniques. Therefore, we chose mCherry Staphylococ

Some wood species have antimicrobial properties, making them a better choice over inert surfaces in certain circumstances. However, the organic and porous nature of wood raises questions regarding the use of this material in hygienically important pl

Minimizing the Computation Time of Using a Robust Gaussian Regression Filter on Sanded Wood Surfaces
Publikováno v:
Pro Ligno, Vol 8, Iss 3, Pp 3-11 (2012)
Roughness of a processed surface has to be filtered to remove form errors and waviness. The mostcommon filter, the Gaussian filter, introduces distortions when used on some wood surfaces, whereas theRobust Gaussian Regression Filter (RGRF) does not.

The effect of sanding, as the last operation before finishing, on the quality of heat treated wood surfaces has been insufficiently explored and explained. This paper compared the effects of sanding with three commonly used sanding grit sizes P60, P1
