Multiple myeloma (MM) cells produce monoclonal immunoglobulin (Ig) which serves as a truly tumor-specific antigen. The tumor-specific antigenic determinants are localized in the variable (V)-regions of the monoclonal Ig and are called idiotopes (Id).
