During a field expedition in January 2005 at the municipality of Cachoeiras de Macacu, also in the state of Rio de Janeiro, southeastern Brazil (22°23.291' S, 42°34.891' W; ca. 700 m) we found and collected one calling male of Hylodes charadranates
