This article presents an electro-absorption modulator (EAM)-based single-mode (SM) 50-Gb/s non return to zero (NRZ) Si-photonic optical link in a 16-nm FinFET. The EAM device is modeled to include its electrical and optical properties. The transmitte

We present an EAM based single-mode optical link. The TX uses over-peaking to improve modulation efficiency and relax TIA's noise requirement. The RX uses a 3-stage TIA with T-coils to improve bandwidth. The link achieves $BER while consuming 4.31pJ/

A 2D MEMS platform for a microlens scanner application is reported. The platform is fabricated on an SOI wafer with 50/μm thick device layer. Entire device is defined with a single etching step on the same layer. Through four S-shaped beams, the dev
