We observe filamentation of a Terawatt laser beam after 1 km propagation in atmosphere. The white light generated was strong enough to saturate a CCD camera and damages on material were characterised.

A femtosecond laser filament can induce birefringence in an isotropic medium. This birefringence leads to the generation of elliptically polarized THz pulses emitting from a single-color / two-color filament in air.

We present a spectroscopic way to measure the plasma density of femtosecond laser filaments in air by using Stark broadening of the oxygen atomic fluorescence line. This method could also be applied to multiple filamentation.
