Objective: the purpose of this in vitro study was to extract DNA from a periapical lesion and amplify a fragment of DNA from the bacterial 16s ribosomal subunit (DNAr 16s) using the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and electrophoresis.Materials and me
