Background: Patients with a left ventricular assist device with right ventricular failure are prioritized on the heart transplant waitlist; however, their post-transplant survival is less well characterized. We aimed to determine whether pretransplan

Background The transplantation of hearts from traumatically brain‐injured (TBI) donors has been associated with inferior long‐term survival in single‐center analyses. However, in a more recent analysis, death caused by cerebrovascular accident

Long-term continuous-flow left ventricular assist device (CFLVAD) therapy is limited by complications. Compared with stroke and renal dysfunction, post-CFLVAD bowel ischemia is poorly characterized. Adult patients who underwent first-time durable CFL
