The paper introduces spatially stable Ni-supported bimetallic catalysts for CO2 methanation. The catalysts are a combination of sintered nickel mesh or wool fibers and nanometal particles, such as Au, Pd, Re, or Ru. The preparation involves the nicke

Energy consumption steadily increases and energy production is associated with many environmental risks, e.g., generating the largest share of greenhouse gas emissions. The primary gas pollution concern is CO2, CH4, and nitrogen oxides (NOx). Environ

The growing emission of carbon dioxide (CO2), combined with its ecotoxicity, is the reason for the intensification of research on the new technology of CO2 management. Currently, it is believed that it is not possible to eliminate whole CO2 emissions

We deal with plastics on a daily basis. The reason for this is the wide range of their application. We surround ourselves with them in our homes and workplaces; they are used in many industries, but also in everyday life. Versatility and ease of use

In this study, we investigated the catalytic performance of Ru nanoparticles (NPs) supported on Ni-nanowires for the first time. This appears to be a highly efficient catalyst for low-temperature methanation, e.g., ca. 100% conversion and 100% of CH4

The classical stoichiometric oxidation of alcohols is an important tool in contemporary organic chemistry. However, it still requires huge modifications in order to comply with the principles of green chemistry. The use of toxic chemicals, hazardous

International audience; It is a paradox that the excess of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere can endanger lives and even the civilisation that has been founded on carbon. Human addiction to carbon is persistent and therefore we need novel chemistry fo

We report here that the Re/SiO2 catalyst can be a suitable low-cost catalyst for processing polyols into acetals in solvent-free conditions with a high conversion rate and selectivity up to 100% in mild conditions. During a complex investigation, we
