Background The oxygen cost of walking (Cw) represents the energy expenditure involved in walking, which is a major concern when quantifying physical activity in stroke. Recent studies have reported that Cw may be estimated accurately with a predictio

Oxygen (O2) concentration is approximately 5% in the fallopian tube and 2% in the uterus in humans. A “back to nature” approach could increase in vitro fertilization (IVF) outcomes. This hypothesis was tested in this monocentric observational ret

In in vitro fertilization (IVF), human embryos are usually cultured under 5% oxygen during preimplantation development. Recent data suggest that a dynamic (5%-2%) oxygen strategy during human preimplantation embryo culture could improve IVF outcomes.

Pathogenic enterobacteria face various oxygen (O2) levels during intestinal colonization from the O2-deprived lumen to oxygenated tissues. Using Shigella flexneri as a model, we have previously demonstrated that epithelium invasion is promoted by O2
