Abstract The technological world is in the midst of a quantum computing and quantum information revolution. Since Richard Feynman’s famous ‘plenty of room at the bottom’ lecture (Feynman, Engineering and Science 23, 22 (1960)), hinting at the n

A spectroscopic investigation of the lithium resonance doublet in $\xi$ Boo A and $\xi$ Boo B in terms of both abundance and isotopic ratio is presented. We obtained new $R$=130\,000 spectra with a signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) per pixel of up to 3200

The presented paper deals with the further development of a clogging-affine impeller with the support of optical high-speed video recordings. Development towards a “guide fin” for improved clogging behaviour is presented in 3 configurations. For

We have demonstrated a novel type of superconducting transmon qubit in which a Josephson junction has been engineered to act as its own parallel shunt capacitor. This merged-element transmon (MET) potentially offers a smaller footprint and simpler fa
