Excitation functions of 8Li(α,n), (d, t) and 12B(α,n) reactions were directly measured in the energy region of astrophysical interest using low‐energy radioactive nuclear beams of 8Li and 12B. Each measured excitation function is strongly affecte

The angular distribution for mutual excitation has been measured for 148Nd+20Ne scattering. The colliding system studied was chosen for its very strong Coulomb coupling. Mutual excitation as strong as the single excitation of 20Ne 2+ has been observe

Extensive agreement is found between the experimental levels in 28 Si and the combined SU3-Hartree-Fock and the Nilsson-Strutinsky theoretical treatments. Of particular interest is a K = 0 + band representing a third shape with ϵ ∼ 0.45 and γ ∼

A spin determination has been made for the states of 28 Si populated selectively by the 12 C( 20 Ne, α) reaction. From an angular correlation study the 8 + , 10 + and (8 + ) assignments are most probable for the states at 14.00, 15.97 and 17.75 MeV,
