Abstract Background To study the effect of hip fracture type on physical performance, functional ability and change in mobility four to six months after the injury. Methods A total of 1331 patients out of consecutive 2052 patients aged ≥ 65 years w

Abstract Using the GAMBIT global fitting framework, we constrain the MSSM with an eV-scale gravitino as the lightest supersymmetric particle, and the six electroweakinos (neutralinos and charginos) as the only other light new states. We combine 15 AT

ASCC3 is a multi-functional helicase that contains two consecutive Ski2-like helicase units. Here, the authors show that ASCC3 can unwind DNA by threading one strand of a substrate duplex through both helicase units, supported by the TRIP4 protein.

Nucleocytoplasmic shuttling of several yeast mRNA decay factors regulates transcription and initiates a novel mRNA decay pathway; shuttling is controlled by the decaying RNA and is critical for coping with environmental changes.

RNA modifications are key regulators of RNA functions. Here, the authors identify METTL8 as the enzyme installing m3C32 in mitochondrial tRNAThr/Ser(UCN). Lack of these modifications affects tRNA structure and impairs mitochondrial translation.

Abstract The search for flavour-changing neutral current effects in B-meson decays is a powerful probe of physics beyond the Standard Model. Deviations from SM behaviour are often quantified by extracting the preferred values of the Wilson coefficien

Abstract We assess the status of a wide class of WIMP dark matter (DM) models in light of the latest experimental results using the global fitting framework GAMBIT. We perform a global analysis of effective field theory (EFT) operators describing the

Early steps of large 60S ribosomal subunit biogenesis are not well understood. Here, the authors combine biochemical experiments with protein-RNA crosslinking and mass spectrometry to show that the RNA helicase Dbp7 is key player during early 60S rib
