We have prepared a radio-fluorogenic gel, i.e. a gel that becomes fluorescent when exposed to high-energy radiation. This has been used to make fixed fluorescent images of the (masked) cross-section and depth-dose profile of a 3 MV electron beam. The

The mobility and decay kinetics of charge carriers produced by nanosecond pulsed ionization of a microcrystalline powder sample of phenyl-C 61 -butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) have been investigated by time-resolved microwave conductivity. The sum o

The fullerene derivative, phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) has been the subject of intense recent study as the electron-acceptor component in heterojunction blends for all-organic photovoltaic devices (OPVs) and as the electron-transport l

The optical absorption and charge transport properties of a series of discotic molecules consisting of peripherally alkyl-substituted polycyclic aromatic cores have been investigated for core sizes, n, of 24, 42, 60, 78, 96, and 132 carbon atoms. In

The semiconducting material having a quasi-one dimensional chain-structure with a backbone of linearly arranged platinum atoms is studied. It is based on Magnus' green salt. The processing and properties of thin films, fibers and field-effect transis

Single crystals of the diacetylene derivatives ETCD, 4BCMU, IPUDO, and DCH were polymerized by repeated irradiation with single pulses of 3 MeV electrons. The conductivity induced by these pulses was determined as a function of the accumulated dose.

We have used an organic radio-fluorogenic gel to make fixed fluorescent images of the track of an 80 MeV proton pencil beam NB this is not a scintillation effect; rather a small fraction of the molecules of the medium are converted permanently from a
