We study ππ correlations in the exclusive reactions p p → 2π + 2π − and p p → 2π + 2π − π 0 at rest with complete reconstruction of the kinematics for each event. A new analysis technique has been developed which is model independent.

A coupled channel model is used to study the nature of the \(f_0(980)\) resonance. It is shown that the existence of two poles close to \(K\bar{K}\) threshold, as found in many data fits and confirmed here, can be reconciled with the \(K\bar{K}\) mol

By using Faddeev equations the absorption of π + on 3 He in the Δ-isobar region is investigated with the final state three-nucleon interaction. We calculated the NN - NΔ t -matrix and πN → Δ vertex from a phenomenological model for NN and πd

We study ππ correlations in the exclusive reaction pp → 2π+2π− at rest measured by the CPLEAR experiment. Avoiding the introduction of an arbitrary reference sample, we analyse differential distributions for equal charge pion pairs removing t

Final state interactions in the $S$-wave $\ensuremath{\pi}\ensuremath{\pi}$ system $(I=0,2)$ are reexamined on the basis of the Omn\`es-Muskhelishvili equation and the coupled channel formalism. The contributions to the pion scalar form factor from $

The first part reviews the situation regarding the πN interaction at low energies. The dominant issues are the quantitative aspects of chiral symmetry breaking which are relevant for the structure of the proton. The second part deals with our unders

We solve a set of integral equations which, exploiting unitarity and analyticity, determine the behaviour of the S- and P-wave phase shifts near threshold in terms of two subtraction constants proportional to the scattering lengths a + 0+ and a + 1+
We study pi0pi0 correlations in the exclusive reaction ppbar -> 4pi0 at rest with complete reconstruction of the kinematics for each event. The inclusive distribution shows a dip at small invariant mass of the pion pair while a small enhancement in t
