The semi-IPN hydrogel membranes of polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) and beta-chitosan were synthesized by crosslinking beta-chitosan with glutaraldehyde. Hydrogel membranes were characterized by spectroscopic, swelling, thermal and mechanical properties.
