The reaction of 1-(2-hydroxy-2-trifluoromethyl-3,3,3-trifluoropropyl)-3,3-dimethyl-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline with a nitrosylating mixture gave only the S-cis-oxime of 3,3-dimethyl-3,4-dihydroisoquinolyl-1-carbaldehyde.
