A previously unknown Namurian goniatite and brachiopod fauna is described from Southeast Asia. The goniatites provide new insights into their global distribution and the age of the fauna. Two new brachiopod genera, Eileenella Racheboeuf and Plicamboc

Three late Devonian ammonoid-bearing levels are described from the area of Cleveland, Ohio. These appear to represent the German Platyclymenia, Clymenia and Wocklumeria Stufen, clear evidence for which has been lacking previously in eastern North Ame

Summary For a period of some 330 x 106 years* from the early Devonian to the late Cretaceous, ammonoid zones and subzones in marine rocks provide a time discrimination of the order of 0.25-1.0 x 106 years or a resolving power of 1:100 to under 1:500.

The ammonoid cephalopods range from the early Devonian to the late Cretaceous, a period of some 320 Ma. Because of their importance for biostratigraphic discrimination and their use in practical age dating for this period they have been intensively s

The Devonian goniatite genera Pinacites and Foordites are described from west-central Alaska. This is the first time that Pinacites has been found in North America. The faunas are compared with those of the Eifelian Stage of Europe and in particular
