Phenolic compounds from a hydroalcoholic extract of wet olive pomace were purified and concentrated by an integrated membrane process in organic media. First, UF010104 (Solsep BV) and UP005 (Microdyn Nadir) membranes were tested to be implemented in

In this work Hermia's models adapted to crossflow ultrafiltration were used to investigate the fouling mechanisms involved in the ultrafiltration of polyethylene glycol (PEG). Although PEG has been very often used as a standard macromolecule in ultra

A theoretical model was used for permeate flux decline prediction. Ultrafiltration experiments were performed varying TMP and feed concentration. The feed solution consisted of an aqueous solution of polyethylene glycol with a molecular weight of 35,

Permeate flux decline with time was estimated by means of a model [1] that considers gel layer formation as the main fouling mechanism. Several experiments were performed with two different membranes. Both of them were monotubular ceramic membranes.

The aim of this work was to validate the dynamic model for the average permeate flux that considers membrane fouling as a dynamic process from non-equilibrium to equilibrium to predict permeate flux decline with time in the ultrafiltration of macromo

The purpose of this work was to compare the experimental results on flux decline with time in the ultrafiltration of macromolecules with the results predicted by a model based in the resistance in series model. The model considers the osmotic pressur

In this paper a shear-induced diffusion model is used to predict permeate flux decline with time in the ultrafiltration of macromolecules. The results estimated by the model were compared with the experimental results obtained in a pilot plant. Tubul
