For the past quarter century the Navan mine has exploited Europe’s premier Zn-Pb deposit. Its genesis is controversial, in part because it has not proved amenable to radiometric dating. The ore is epigenetic and is hosted in Lower Carboniferous pla

New palaeomagnetic data from the Caledonides of western Ireland indicate that the Silurian rocks of South Mayo underwent oroclinal bending, following folding, in Siluro-Devonian time. Bending was accommodated on faults cutting the Silurian sequence,

SUMMARY of published palaeomagnetic data from the Russian platform and Britain for Mid-Palaeozoic times places an ocean between the two of the order of 2000 km latitudinal width. This contradicts geological evidence, which favours contiguity between

Reinterpretation of the Skagerrak and Silkeborg Gravity and Magnetic Anomalies in Norway and Denmark
Publikováno v:
61st EAGE Conference and Exhibition.
The Skagerrak and Silkeborg gravity and magnetic anomalies are situated in the Farsund Basin just offshore the southern tip of Norway and in central Jutland, Denmark, respectively. Gravity highs partly coincide with magnetic lows.
