3,3′-Diacetyloxy (2), 3,3′-dihydroxy (3), 4,4′-diamino (4), and 4-amino (5) diphenylselenide derivatives were prepared as new precursors for the title studies. Compound 6 was obtained by condensation of 4 with an appropriate aromatic aldehyde.
