Three criteria of the periodicity are discussed in the paper and their properties are investigated. These criteria are applied to investigate the periodicity properties of a variable star GX Pegasi. A number of periodic components are extracted.

The first paper of this series established a linear stochastic wave equation for solar-like p-modes, correctly taking the effect of turbulence thereon into account. In this second paper, we aim at deriving simultaneous expressions for the excitation

Context.Space observations by the CoRoT andKeplermissions have provided a wealth of high-quality seismic data for a large number of stars from the main sequence to the red giant phases. One main goal of these missions is to take advantage of the rich

Asteroseismology is a unique tool that can be used to study the interior of stars and hence deliver unique information for the studiy of stellar physics, stellar evolution, and Galactic archaeology. We aim to develop a simple model of the information

Helioseismology and asteroseismology of red giant stars have shown that the distribution of angular momentum in stellar interiors, and its evolution with time remains an open issue in stellar physics. Owing to the unprecedented quality of Kepler phot
