The Supergiant Fast X-ray Transients (SFXTs) are X-ray binaries showing a very variable X-ray flux. However, they reach also other kinds of extreme behaviors: we discuss here recent results about the least and the most absorbed SFXTs. IGR J08408-4503

We report on IRAM-30m/EMIR observations of 38 red Herschel sources in 18 Planck-selected protocluster candidates (PHz). We detect 40 CO lines on a total of 24 bright Herschel sources in 14 of the 18 PHz fields. The measured average redshift is =2.25.

We have analysed an archival XMM-Newton EPIC observation that serendipitously covered the sky position of a variable X-ray source AX J1714.1-3912, previously suggested to be a Supergiant Fast X-ray Transient (SFXT). During the XMM-Newton observation

About 2100 star-forming galaxy protocluster candidates at z=1-4 were identified at sub-mm wavelengths in the Planck all sky survey. Follow-up spectroscopic observations of a few candidates have confirmed the presence of actual galaxy overdensities wi

We discovered an over-density of H-alpha-emitting galaxies associated with a Planck compact source in the COSMOS field (PHzG237.0+42.5) through narrow-band imaging observations with Subaru/MOIRCS. This Planck-selected dusty proto-cluster at z=2.16 ha

We use the statistics of the VIPERS survey to investigate the relation between the surface mean stellar mass density Sigma=Mstar/(2*pi*Re^2) of massive passive galaxies (MPGs, Mstar>10^11 Msun) and their environment in the redshift range 0.52*10^11 M
