Microlicia D. Don (Melastomataceae) has about 120 species concentrated in central Brazil. During the inventory of Microlicieae of Mucuge, Chapada Diamantina, Bahia, Brazil we have found four new species of Microlicia, all endemic to Chapada Diamantin
