We present a scalable protocol for suppressing errors during electron spin shuttling in silicon quantum dots. The approach maps the valley Hamiltonian to a Landau-Zener problem to model the nonadiabatic dynamics in regions of small valley splitting.

Reservoir computing (RC) is known as a powerful machine learning approach for learning complex dynamics from limited data. Here, we use RC to predict highly stochastic dynamics of cell shapes. We find that RC is able to predict the steady state clima

Coherent coupling between distant qubits is needed for any scalable quantum computing scheme. In quantum dot systems, one proposal for long-distance coupling is to coherently transfer electron spins across a chip in a moving potential. Here, we use s

Nanofabricated metal gate electrodes are commonly used to confine and control electrons in electrostatically defined quantum dots. However, these same gates impart a complicated strain geometry that affects the confinement potential and potentially i

We study matrix coefficients of the unitary (and also the completely bounded) representations of SL(2;R) and its universal covering group. We describe the asymptotic distribution of column vectors in terms of Whittaker functions, exhibiting also a re

For a connected Lie group G it was shown by Lee, Ludwig, Samei and Spronk that its Fourier algebra A(G) is weakly amenable only if G is abelian. We extend this result to general connected locally compact groups, extending an approach developed in spe

Silicon/silicon-germanium heterostructures have many important advantages for hosting spin qubits. However, controlling the valley splitting (the energy splitting between the two low-lying conduction-band valleys) remains a critical challenge for ens

Summary: PIWI-interacting RNAs (piRNAs) play a crucial role in safeguarding genome integrity by silencing mobile genetic elements. From flies to humans, piRNAs originate from long single-stranded precursors encoded by genomic piRNA clusters. How piRN
