Hydraulic fracturing is an effective way to stimulate oil production, which is currently widely used in various conditions, including complex carbonate reservoirs. In the conditions of the considered field, hydraulic fracturing leads to a significant
Reactive sulfur species (RSS) and reactive selenium species (RSeS) play integral roles in hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and hydrogen selenide (H2Se) biological signaling pathways, and dichalcogenide anions are proposed transient intermediates that facilitat

Carbonyl sulfide (COS) is implicated in prebiotic chemistry, and recent work on COS/H2S donors has invigorated COS chemistry. We demonstrate that [TpM(CO)3]- (M=Mo,W) react with S8 to form COS, but form [TpW(CO)2]2Se3 not COSe upon reaction with Se.

Reactive sulfur species (RSS) play critical roles in diverse chemical environments. Molecules containing sulfane sulfur (S0) have emerged as key species involved in cellular redox buffering as well as RSS generation, translocation, and action. Using

Determining formation pressure in the well extraction zones is a key task in monitoring the development of hydrocarbon fields. Direct measurements of formation pressure require prolonged well shutdowns, resulting in underproduction and the possibilit
Mechanically interlocked carbon nanostructures represent a relatively unexplored frontier in carbon nanoscience due to the difficulty in preparing these unusual topological materials. Here we illustrate an active template method in which the key mech

A new class of macrocyclic angle-strained alkynes whose size and reactivity can be precisely tuned by modular organic synthesis is disclosed. Detailed analysis of the size-dependent structural and electronic properties provides evidence for considera

Variable-temperature 1H NMR studies of the reaction of cationic (alpha-diimine)Pd-alkyl complexes with alkenes are presented. The studies reveal that vinyl bromide coordinates to the Pd(II)-Me complex followed by migratory insertion and beta-bromo el
