An asymmetric reductive cross-coupling of α-chloroesters and (hetero)aryl iodides is reported. This nickel-catalyzed reaction proceeds with a chiral BiOX ligand under mild conditions, affording α-arylesters in good yields and enantioselectivities.

Apolipoprotein E (apoE) is a 34 kDa key lipid transport protein in both the brain and the periphery. In the brain, it is produced predominantly by astrocytes and has been shown to play an important role in promoting neurite outgrowth and synaptogenes

A method using calcium triflimide [Ca(NTf(2))(2)] as a Lewis acid to activate sulfonyl fluorides toward nucleophilic addition with amines is described. The reaction converts a wide array of sterically and electronically diverse sulfonyl fluorides and

Background: MAT2A (Methionine adenosyltransferase 2A) catalyzes the formation of S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) from methionine and ATP. PRMT5, a highly conserved protein arginine methyltransferase that is required for cell proliferation, uses SAM as its

Deletions in Methylthioadenosine phosphorylase (MTAP) are observed in 15% of all cancers including pancreatic, lung, bladder and GBM cancers (1). MTAP loss results in an accumulation of MTA which partially inhibits Protein Arginine Methyltransferase

Poly(ADP-ribose) glycohydrolase (PARG) hydrolyzes poly(ADP-ribose) (PAR) chains that are polymerized by PARP enzymes, completing the PAR cycle. Small molecule inhibitors of PARG result in a dose dependent increase in cellular PAR after DNA damage. He
