Three examples of 2,4-bis(n-alkylamino)nitrobenzenes have been crystallised (alkyl = pentyl, hexyl and heptyl) and the single crystal structures were determined. The three structures are similar and adopt a cyclic hydrogen bonded hexameric motif. n-O
