We have experimentally demonstrated a 1x8 WDM polarization-insensitive multicast switch based on bulk SOAs. Results show net gain of 11dB, broadband and error-free operation with 0.55dB power penalty at 10GBps NRZ-OOK, and crosstalk

For the first time we have designed and demonstrated polarization insensitive, high gain and broadband 1×8 broadcast and select switch suitable for optical packet switching system based on bulk SOAs integrated with passive elements.

In this work, we analyze the timing stability of a 1 GHz InP on-chip monolithic mode-locked laser at 1550 nm. 504 fs RMS timing jitter is achieved by a hybrid mode-locking operation.

We demonstrate a C-band optical cross-connect switch based on InP integrated photonics, butt-coupled to a silica PLC for facile optical alignment. The switch allows the development of low power, low latency and low-cost WDM-switches.

In this letter, a monolithically integrated ring laser is demonstrated and discussed with respect of potential application in optical gyroscope systems. The device has been realized using generic indium phosphide technology and fabricated on a multi-
