The hydroformamination of 2-vinylfuran in the presence of HRh(CO)(PPh3)3 was used for the first time to give N- [2- (2- furyl)propyl]- N,N- dialkylamines and N- [2- (2-furyl)propylidene]- N- alkylimines.
