Former publications showed important modifications to occur in polarographic and spectrophotometric curves when the pH of the solution changes. This may be assigned to perprotonation or to rearomatisation of pyridine derivatives. The authors investig

A series of hydroxamic acids and sulphohydroxamic acids were prepared and linked to 9-acridinecarboxylic acid through a pseudo-ester function. After N-methylation of the heterocyclic ring, the different compounds were tested for their chemiluminescen

A sensitive, alternative method to titrimetry or spectrophotometry for the evaluation of tin(II) ions (0–5 μg ml−1) in matrices containing tin(IV) ions was investigated. Differential pulse polarography was chosen. The supporting electrolyte was

An immunometric assay is described which allows fast detection of attomole amounts of an antigen. The sensitivity is 100 to 1000 times better than that of classical sandwich immunometric assays. Our system allowed the measurement of human growth horm

Methods for determining gold and silver in rat plasma without prior mineralization are presented. They permit concentrations above 1 μg 1−1 to be measured. They were applied to 96 rat plasma samples with gold and silver contents up to 3 μg 1−1.
