Here we present speckle observations of 16 low-separation ($s<30$ AU) high probability candidate binaries from the catalog by Medan et al., where secondaries typically lack astrometric solutions in Gaia. From these speckle observations, we find a sec

We present a method to identify likely visual binaries in Gaia eDR3 that does not rely on parallax or proper motion. This method utilizes the various PSF sizes of 2MASS/Gaia, where at $<2.5$" two stars may be unresolved in 2MASS but resolved by Gaia.

The NASA K2 mission uses photometry to find planets transiting stars of various types. M dwarfs are of high interest since they host more short-period planets than any other type of main-sequence star and transiting planets around M dwarfs have deepe

Open clusters have been the focus of several exoplanet surveys, but only a few planets have so far been discovered. The Kepler spacecraft revealed an abundance of small planets around small cool stars, therefore, such cluster members are prime target

We combine photometric metallicities with astrometry from Gaia DR3 to examine the chemodynamic structure of ~250,000 K dwarfs in the Solar Neighborhood (SN). In kinematics, we observe ridges/clumps of "kinematic groups", like studies of more massive

Over the past decade, the number of known wide binary systems has exponentially expanded thanks to the release of data from the Gaia Mission. Some of these wide binary systems are actually higher-order multiples, where one of the components is an unr

We present a model-fit pipeline to determine the stellar parameters of M-type dwarfs, which is an improvement upon our previous work described in Hejazi et al. 2020. We apply this pipeline to analyze the low-resolution (R~2000) spectra of 3745 M dwar

We present a catalogue of 551,214 main-sequence stars in the local ($d < 2$ kpc) Galactic thick disk and halo, based on a search of stars with large proper motions ($\mu_{\mathrm{tot}} > 40.0$ mas/yr) in the Gaia Early Data Release 3. We derive photo

We use halo dwarf stars with photometrically determined metallicities that are located within 2 kpc of the Sun to identify local halo substructure. The kinematic properties of these stars do not indicate a single, dominant radial merger event (RME).

Recently, an increasing number of wide binaries has been discovered. Their chemical and dynamical properties are studied through extensive surveys and pointed observations. However, the formation of these wide binaries is far from clear, although sev
