Thin film bulk acoustic resonators, or FBARs, are surely a technical breakthrough for the miniaturization of RF filters and for the integration with other RF components. However, there are few problems of limitation in the size reduction and the diff

A silicon based film bulk acoustic wave resonator (FBAR) composed with a filter and a duplexer is fabricated using the bulk micro-machining process. It has a simple MIM (metal-insulator-metal) membrane structure using molybdenum (Mo) for the top and

Systematic effort was made to optimize the quality of ferroelectric Bi3.25La0.75Ti3O12 thin films, that were pulsed laser deposited onto indium–tin-oxide coated glass plates, by varying the conditions of laser fluence density, partial oxygen pressu

This paper presents ultra-miniature monolithic transmit (Tx) filters for 1900 MHz PCS using thin film bulk acoustic resonators (FBAR) technology. Conventional FBAR filters often include multiple tuning inductors, which have prevented the miniaturizat
Refined wide band modelling and design of CMOS-compatible spiral inductors with BCB dielectric layer

33rd European Microwave Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.03EX723C).
This paper discloses a new measurement-based model of on-chip spiral inductor with BCB dielectric layer. The parameters of the refined equivalent circuit are extracted through an optimisation with respect to specially formulated objective functions.
