The angiotensin type 2 receptor (AT2R) and the receptor MAS are receptors of the protective arm of the renin–angiotensin system. They mediate strikingly similar actions. Moreover, in various studies, AT2R antagonists blocked the effects of MAS agon

Stroke is one of the major medical burdens in industrialized countries. Animal experiments indicate that blockade of the angiotensin AT1 receptor (AT1R) improves neurological outcome after cerebral ischemia. These protective effects are partially med

The angiotensin AT2-receptor (AT2R) and the receptor MAS share a strinkingly similar spectrum of signaling mechanisms and protective, physiological actions. Furthermore, cross-inhibition by the respective receptor antagonists has been observed. There

Angiotensin II is known to activate T-cells via the AT1-receptor. T-cells also possess AT2-receptors (AT2Rs). However, the functional role of AT2Rs in T-cells has not been investigated. This study tested the hypothesis that AT2R stimulation modulates
