BACKGROUND: High grade glioma molecular profiling is of particular interest in neurooncology. The role of telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) varies dependent upon other molecular parameters. We explored the role of TERT in 101 high-grade gliomas

The long-term impact of neurotological symptoms after a temporal bone fracture (TBF), including facial nerve palsy (FP), hearing loss, tinnitus, and dizziness on the quality of life of patients is often underevaluated. Thus, we retrospectively assess

Background: Complete or incomplete spinal cord injury (SCI) results in varying degree of motor, sensory and autonomic impairment. Long-lasting, often irreversible disability results from disconnection of efferent and afferent pathways. How does this

Endogenous and exogenous compounds as well as carcinogens are metabolized and detoxified by phase I and II enzymes, the activity of which could be crucial to the inactivation and hence susceptibility to carcinogenic factors. The expression of these e

Introduction: Changes in brain organization and structure have been associated with spinal cord injury (SCI) and have been extensively studied (Freund et al. 2013; Nardone et al. 2013). On the other hand, our understanding of brain connectivity follo

It is recognized that lower electroencephalography (EEG) frequencies correspond to distributed brain activity over larger spatial regions than higher frequencies and are associated with coordination. In motor processes it has been suggested that this
