A mantle depletion event that occurred around 4.2 billion years ago, and that suggests crust-mantle differentiation in the late Hadean, is recorded in the Singhbhum Craton, India, by means of 146Sm-142Nd whole-rock isotopic analyses.

Direct observations of gaseous exoplanets reveals that their gas envelope is commonly enriched in C/O ratio compared to that of the host star. This has been explained by considering that the gas phase of the disc could be inhomogeneous, exceeding the

In 40Ar/39Ar geochronology, excess Ar is 40Ar that does not derive from the in situ radioactive decay of 40K, or from the measurable input of atmospheric Ar, and results in increased daughter-parent ratios that correspond to anomalously old apparent

Different solar system objects display variable abundances of neutron-rich isotopes such as 54Cr, 50Ti, and 48Ca, which are commonly attributed to a heterogeneous distribution of presolar grains in different domains of the solar system. Here, we show

The Simlipal complex in eastern India is an elliptical structure with diameter of ca. 50 km coinciding with an elliptical region of high gravity. It overlies the Archaean basement of the Singhbhum craton and has a ring structure characterized by comp

Much of the continental lithosphere developed during the Archean, which was an Eon of change in terms of global geodynamics and geochemical cycles. Uncovering the causal links between crust forming processes and prevailing geodynamic mechanisms is cr
