We present a quantum algorithm for factoring products of prime numbers which exploits Grover search to factor any $n$-bit biprime using $2n-5$ qubits or less. The algorithm doesn't depend on any properties of the number to be factored, has guaranteed

We use the Pad\'e-Z$_2$ stochastic estimator for calculating Tr log M to compute quark loop corrections to quenched QCD. We examine the main source of error in this technique and look at a way of controlling it.

A simulation method based on the RG blocking is shown to yield statistical errors smaller than that of the crude MC using absolute values of the original measures. The new method is particularly suitable to apply to the sign problem of indefinite or

Current algorithms used to put a lattice gauge configuration into Landau gauge either suffer from the problem of critical slowing-down or involve an additional computational expense to overcome it. Evolutionary Algorithms (EAs), which have been widel

A method is proposed to handle the sign problem in the simulation of systems having indefinite or complex-valued measures. In general, this new approach, which is based on renormalisation blocking, is shown to yield statistical errors smaller than th

It is argued that the gauge anomalies are only the artefacts of quantum field theory when certain subtleties are not taken into account. With the Berry's phase needed to satisfy certain boundary conditions of the generating path integral, the gauge a

The chiral Schwinger model is formulated in the wilson-fermion formulation on the lattice and then simulated by the complex langevin algorithm. The simulation is done both without and with gauge fixing to the Lorentz gauge for the compact gauge links

The lattice fermion determinants, in a given background gauge field, are evaluated for two different kinds of random lattices and compared to those of naive and wilson fermions in the continuum limit. While the fermion doubling is confirmed on one ki
