This paper reports on the electron paramagnetic resonance angular variation of the S = 1 2 Cr 5+ center with orthorhombic symmetry, obtained after quenching Al and Cr-doped SrTiO3 from 1400 °C. At 4.2 K, the main axes of the g-tensor in monodomain {

Modulated microwave absorption shows that as-grown crystals of Nd 2− x Ce x CuO 4 already contain superconducting regions prior to reduction, which then increases the measured T c from 7 to 21 K. The temperature dependence of the modulated absorpti

Vanadium-doped SrTiO3 reduced above 1200 degrees C and then quenched is shown to contain a V2+ double acceptor level about 40 meV below the conduction band from resistivity measurements. Electron spin resonance (ESR) central hyperfine and g-shift val

The results of modulated microwave absorption experiments on ceramics, thin films and single crystals of YBa2Cu3O7–δ are described with emphasis on the different behavior of the various forms. All show microwave losses due to the presence of Josep

The wavelength‐modulated reflectivity spectra in the visible and near uv of GdIG, LuFeO3, FeBO3, Fe2O3, Fe[NiFe]O4, and BaFe12O19 are reported. Features of both the exciton sideband and the charge‐transfer spectra are observed. Comparison of thes

The progressive reduction of SrTiO3:Mn has been monitored by EPR. The results show the conversion of Mn4+ to Mn2+ and Mn2+ to Mn2+-V0 by oxygen-vacancy capture. The latter defect association takes place with the copious oxygen vacancies produced duri

Colour centres induced by reduction of SrTiO3 have been found with an isotropic EPR absorption at g = 1.977 and an optical absorption band at 576 nm. These centres are not related to the free carriers but are made possible by the extraction of oxygen
