We report on the ultra-wideband (UWB) transmission of a 103 nm signal over 3 × 100 km of standard single mode fiber (SSMF), a widely-deployed fiber in terrestrial transmission networks. In such UWB systems, nonlinear effects such as stimulated Raman

We report on the ultra-wideband transmission of 254 PCS-64QAM channels over 300 km of SSMF. We demonstrate a 107-Tb/s transmission throughput over a continuous 103 nm optical bandwidth using backward Raman pumping and SOA technology.

We report on the impact of wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) channel count onto the nonlinear distortions induced by an ultra-wideband (UWB) semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA). We demonstrate experimentally that UWB SOA devices are well suited

We demonstrate a field trial WDM transmission over two spans of 18dB and 16.5dB loss, with average channel rate of 475Gb/s over >100nm optical bandwidth, and with 250Gb/s 16QAM real-time transponders in both C- and L-bands.
