Application of the same pattern for linking neighbouring 4.82 two-dimensional nets as is found in the AlPO4-CJ2 and AlPO4-15 structures allows the enumeration of eleven (4;2)-connected three-dimensional nets with a maximum unit-cell repeat of ~ 10 A.

Opening, stellation or handle replacement of edges of the regular cube, the regular tetrahedron and the semi-regular hexagonal prism (minimum point group symmetry 2/m) yields totals of 144, 11 and 205 geometrically distinct configurations respectivel

An infinite series of secondary building units generated around a trigonal axis, with the top and/or bottom T atom coinciding with the symmetry axis allows the systematic enumeration of a novel class of (4; 2)-connected 3D framework structures. Known

Hexagonal three-dimensional framework structures are constructed from trigonal columns. When two types of trigonal column are distinguished, all hexagonal 3D framework structures known to date can be classified in the lateral connection of trigonal c

Forty-two hypothetical 3D nets are derived by applying four types of transformations (or combinations thereof) to the previously described tridymite group of structures. Two novel transformations are proposed, one preserving the (hexagonal or orthorh
