Measurement of the geomagnetic field in Indonesia is undertaken by the Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG). Routine activities at each observatory include the determination of declination, inclination, and total field using

Many published studies using the 3-D Euler deconvolution for potential field interpretation (e.g. Thompson 1882; Reid et al. 1990; Marson et al. 1993) focus on one type of potential field data in isolation (either gravity or magnetic anomalies, gradi

Constraints on models of the evolution of the Zimbabwe Archaean Craton are derived primarily from geological mapping of the exposed and well-preserved supracrustal successions in the granite-greenstone terrain of the south-central part of the Craton

For many years, the gradients of potential fields have been used as a sensitive signal for interpreting possible boundaries or depths of causative bodies, for example, Blakely et al. (1986) [1], Cordell et al. (1989) [2] and Roest et al.(1992) [3], f

Reid et al.'s (1990) method for interpreting magnetic survey data in grid form to give source locations and depths uses Euler's homogeneity relation. The relation is formulated in terms of a 'structural index' by which geological constraints are impo

The radial component of geomagnetic secular variation at the core surface is examined. Discrepancies between models for the same epoch are attributed in part to short-wavelength instabilities, and methods for producing smooth models are illustrated.
