The locus coeruleus (LC) houses the vast majority of noradrenergic neurons in the brain and regulates many fundamental functions, including fight and flight response, attention control, and sleep/wake cycles. While efferent projections of the LC have

Neurexophilins are secreted neuropeptide-like glycoproteins, and neurexophilin1 and neurexophilin3 are ligands for the presynaptic cell adhesion molecule α-neurexin. Neurexophilins are more selectively expressed in the brain than α-neurexins, howev

The cochlear nucleus (CN), the starting point for all central auditory processing, comprises a suite of neuronal cell types that are morphologically and biophysically specialized for initiating parallel pathways, yet their molecular distinctions are

Despite advances in molecular profiling, therapeutic development has been hindered by the inability to identify and target tumour-specific mechanisms without consequence to healthy tissue. Correspondingly, a computational framework capable of accurat

Anti-seizure drug (ASD) targets are widely expressed in both excitatory and inhibitory neurons. It remains unknown if the action of an ASD upon inhibitory neurons could counteract its beneficial effects on excitatory neurons (or vice versa), thereby
