Abstract The gut microbiota and microglia play critical roles in Alzheimer’s disease (AD), and elevated Bacteroides is correlated with cerebrospinal fluid amyloid-β (Aβ) and tau levels in AD. We hypothesize that Bacteroides contributes to AD by m

Abstract Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. The innate and adaptive immune responses play an important role in the pathogenesis of TBI. Gamma-delta (γδ) T cells have been shown to affect brain immunopatholog

Oral tolerance is defined as the specific suppression of cellular and/or humoral immune responses to an Ag by prior administration of the Ag through the oral route. Although the investigation of oral tolerance has classically involved Ag feeding, we

Oral tolerance (OT) plays a critical role in maintaining the gut homeostatic environment. OT is defective in mice lacking microbiota or gamma-delta T cells (γδ-/-). We found that γδ-/- mice have an altered microbiota, including a decrease in Rumi
