We have investigated the ionization damage by 60Co gamma irradiation in 0.13- and 0.25- $\mu \text{m}$ SiGe heterojunction bipolar transistors (HBTs). Both technologies feature high-speed HBTs (HS-HBTs) together with high-voltage HBTs (HV-HBTs). Base

The ability of state-of-the-art TCAD simulation to predict the performance of SiGe HBTs with advanced vertical doping profiles is evaluated by a comparison of simulation and experiment. Doping profiles of HBTs with f T > 400GHz were derived from a co

Coherence in light–matter interaction is a necessary ingredient if light is used to control the quantum state of a material system. Coherent effects are firmly associated with isolated systems kept at low temperature. The exceedingly fast dephasing

We study experimentally and numerically the changes in pulse shape a Gaussian laser pulse undergoes when propagating through an electrically pumped quantum dot semiconductor optical amplifier (QD-SOA). The pulse energy is set to be resonant to the qu

We use a semiconductor optical Bloch equation approach combined with a traveling wave equation for the electric field to explore the effect of noise on the signal quality of a quantum-dot(QD) semiconductor optical amplifier. Using a stochastic white

Abstract Background Dendritic cells (DCs) are specialized first-line sensors of foreign materials invading the organism. These sentinel cells rely on pattern recognition receptors such as Nod-like or Toll-like receptors (TLRs) to launch immune reacti

Rabi oscillations imprint an intensity modulation on the electric field of the laser pulse creating them. We experimentally observe this signature in a quantum dot ensemble at room temperature for arbitrary degrees of inversion.
